Can You Tell Us About Your Team Initiative Or Project?
We have come together and made a website www.deepdive4u.com where we are interviewing successful people from all professions to find out what makes them the best in what they do.
We are determined to make DeepDive4u a place where young people can come to find information, on all the different professions in the world, what challenges come along the way and the right attitude to be able to face them so that we become successful. These interviews will inspire others to follow their own paths to success and make a positive impact on the world. . This way, everyone can learn from real-life examples of hard work, dedication, and determination.
What Was The Primary Goal Or Challenge Your Team Set Out To Achieve, And How Did You Approach It Collectively?
The primary goal of our team was to uncover the secrets behind success, how is it that many people do similar work, but some people become more successful. We want to find out how people define success and how do they achieve it. We do it by interviewing people who have achieved heights in their careers, so that both students and adults could learn from their journeys.
To achieve this, we collaborated closely by splitting tasks, we brainstormed interview questions, researched the different professions, and reached out to successful people.
Our goal is to make DeepDive4u more popular and known to students not just in WA and Australia but also globally, so that everyone can benefit from the insights and learnings. We also interview people from around the world like Dr. Sameer Joshi and Professor Wong from USA, to make our content more relevant for students around the world.
Can You Describe The Dynamics Within Your Team? How Did Each Team Member Combine Their Unique Strengths To Achieve Your Shared Goals?
Mehar is a very creative and sensitive person with many unique ideas, she does a thorough research on the topic before coming for the discussions. She thinks of questions that bring out how the expert felt and what they did and that adds value to our interviews.
On the other hand, Veer is an outgoing person who confidently reaches out to the potential interviewees. He brings in spontaneity to the interviews and asks follow up questions to the interviewee to get deeper understanding into the answers. They both compliment each other by looking at different types of professions as well, while Mehar seeks to find artists and lawyers, Veer is quick to identify scientists.
Their different perspectives and personalities bring in people from diverse backgrounds, and they ask a wider range of questions, which makes DeepDive4u more diverse and informative.
What Were Some Of The Most Significant Challenges Your Team Faced, And How Did You Overcome These As A Unit?
We faced the challenges of managing DeepDive along with school work, as well as finding successful people who would be willing to share their stories and advice. For managing our time we make lists of the tasks, prioritise them, and then we each take responsibility of our tasks.
We do more work during term breaks as that makes our holidays more interesting, fun and purposeful. We also brainstorm who we could reach out to, like entrepreneurs, athletes, and professionals. We try to approach family, friends and people we have met somewhere to start the conversation, for example Veer met Professor Wong at an event in school and Dr. Jags in an event at the scouts.
Collaboration Is Key To Any Successful Team. How Did You Ensure Effective Communication And Cooperation Throughout Your Projects? We are creative, and we encourage each other to be creative. To ensure we work in harmony together, we start by listing down all the tasks that will need to be done, divide them amongst us, and then come together to put our work together. We each do our research and then share our learnings with each other.
We notice that we both think differently and when we put our ideas and work together, our interview questions and videos become more rich, in that they have different types of questions, that bring our more value from the answers of experts. This would help a wider range of young people, as all young people are different and look at different aspects of a profession.
How Did Your Team Measure The Success Of Your Initiatives, And What Outcomes Are You Most Proud Of? We define success as learning something from the people we have interviewed. We are most proud of our discussions with our guests, who have shared valuable insights into their own way of thinking, which helps us think differently.
For example, Dr. Jags believes in putting in our efforts, whether we succeed. It is more important to have the right intention, do the right action, so that the effects are right for you and others around you.
Whereas Professor Yong believes in a Problem Oriented mindset" where we need to think and propose solutions to the problems we face, that can help the society.
All of these ways of thinking and approaching problems and society helps us open our minds and think in better ways.
What Advice Would You Give To Other Teams Aiming To Make A Significant Impact? How Can They Cultivate The Same Level Of Collaboration And Success That Your Team Has Achieved?
While we believe that the right way is to plan and work hard, consistency compounds and that success comes from careful planning and consistently working towards the goals, but our heartfelt advice would be just believe in yourself and dive in. Each of us is different and what works for us may or may not work for you. So listen to your heart, listen to each other, combine your ideas and follow through in a way that works for you. You can have your own dream, and you can make your own dream come true.
